Carbon Leaf

"We used to have very long-winded terms to describe our music," explains Carbon Leaf's vocalist, Barry Privett. "We've whittled it down to, 'we're a rock band with many different influences! Come on out.'"

Carbon Leaf garnered the unique distinction of being the first unsigned band to win an American Music Award and perform on the live telecast for 80 million people after winning the inaugural 'Coca- Cola New Music Award' in 2002. An independent band for years, Carbon Leaf finally signed to independent label Vanguard Records in 2005, entering into the national spotlight with their successful single, Life Less Ordinary, off of their label debut, "Indian Summer".

The band tours constantly and has just completed it's second U.S. Tour behind it's most recent CD, "Love, Loss, Hope, Repeat". Carbon Leaf is currently at home in Richmond, VA writing and preparing for their forthcoming album.
