Pre-Sale Information

To give you a better idea of how our Ships and Dip V pre-sale will work, here is some general information:

There are three groups of people eligible for the Ships and Dip pre-sale:
•    Group 1 - Guests who sailed with us on Ships and Dip III in 2008
•    Group 2 - Guests who did not sail on Ships and Dip III in 2008 but sailed on Ships and Dip I in 2007
•    Group 3 - Guests who have joined us on other Sixthman events but have not sailed with Barenaked Ladies, and Guests who are members of a confirmed artist’s fan club and have registered for a Sixthman Username by May 21st. 

Each guest will be given a pre-sale token with an activation date and time according to the list above. Please see the section below about tokens for more details.

Group 1 will have the first opportunity to book a cabin.  This group will be prioritized first by the order in which they booked in 2008 and second by the number of previous Sixthman events attended.

Group 2 (those who sailed on Ships and Dip I 2007) will be prioritized first by the order in which they booked in 2007 and second by the number of previous Sixthman events attended.

Groups 1 and 2 will be automatically opted in to the Ships and Dip V cruise pre-sale and will receive booking details in mid-May. 

Group 3 will randomly be assigned a token activation date and time.

Tokens

A ‘token’ is a numeric password that will allow you to access the reservation system early. It will be tied to an exact date and time, and will allow you to book a cabin when that date and time comes. Everyone who participates in the pre-sale will receive a unique token via e-mail prior to the pre-sale with a designated date and time – as determined by the processes above.

While the token activates at a specific time, it does not expire until two days before the general on sale date or until one successful reservation is placed.  You may book your cabin at anytime during that time frame.

Everyone who qualifies for the pre-sale will receive his or her own unique token, whether they were lead passenger or not.  These tokens are non-transferable, and the token used must belong to the lead passenger of the cabin.

After the pre-sale process, all reservation data will be scrubbed for booking accuracy.  If we come across an active reservation where the token used does not match the lead passenger’s specific information, the reservation will be cancelled.
